There’s been a lot of buzz lately about this restaurant so my partner and I decided to give it a try. With the Chinese blood in him, I felt the urge to go ahead and see if this restaurant will satisfy his cravings for Chinese foods. Let’s give Din Tai Fung a shot.
Yes, their food selection is a bit pricey but totally worth it! Unlike other restaurants, Din Tai Fung has a different approach in taking food orders. Here, you will be given a menu and checklist to fill up then, the waiters ill forward it to the chef/kitchen staff.
Din Tai Fung originated at Taiwan and is well-known for their famous xiao long bao or soup dumplings. I have eaten a couple of xiao long baos which are served by Chinese restaurants around the Metro (in which we will make a separate review for that) and really taste good!
Green Squash ad Shrimp Xiao Long Bao
Since Din Tai Fung‘s specialty is their xiao long bao, we decided to give it a try. One serving with 6 pieces costs 160 PHP. Their xiao long bao has the right texture. The soup inside gives a satisfying taste and the squash’s flavor blends in. An unusual xiao long bao it is, a definitely must try!
Chicken Cutlet with Fried Rice
One serving costs 285 PHP. A chicken that is greatly cooked that it somehow tasted pork and goes with fried rice, perfect combination indeed. The serving is huge, perfect for two person sharing.
Noodles with Minced Pork Sauce
One serving costs 145 PHP. The noodles is dry take note and has some kick in it and with a little spice, it perfectly gives the taste a boost. We love how cooked the noodles are. Just the right tenderness.

Over all, our Din Tai Fung experience is awesome. The place is huge, the service is great and the food is delicious and totally worth its price. The place is perfect for large groups or family for they can surely accommodate more than hundred people. I will give Din Tai Fung 7/10 rating.
