The song Rude by the Canadian reggae fusion band Magic, has been the LSS of a lot of people worldwide including Filipinos for the past few months. The song is catchy, but there’s more behind its lyrics.

So popular, it was used by Nestlé Philippines for their Nestea commercial.
But what really caught my attention was these viral videos. Someone covered the song in dad and daughter’s perspective.
The Dad’s version was covered by Benji and Jenna Covart, a married couple based in Tennessee. It is refreshing to hear the Dad’s take on why he is skeptical on some guy marrying her daughter. Trust me, his response was not rude. As of today after posting the cover last July 10, the video has 12 Million hits and still counting.

So refreshing and I must say all lyrics were realistic. In any relationship, for the couple to reach the next level called marriage, they must have their parents blessing a sign of love and courtesy. Well, I hope everyone of us will not have this kind of trouble and sing these songs. Hahaha :))
